I'M OVER HERE!!

In terms of decibels per grammes bodyweight, the wren has to be right up there in terms of value amongst British birds.
This beautiful creature was perched very photogenically above the Derwent and was singing for all his might.
I have to leave the river behind for a week now, we are going to West Sussex for a week of horseracing and sightseeing.
We are staying in a lovely looking shepherd's hut, I hope he has left it tidy :)
