Launch Mode

First walk around since returning, I can see dramatic changes everywhere as spring moves into early summer. Photographically, though, it is a return to the familiar and the struggle to find something new every day. After all the exciting stimulus of my trip I have a coming-back-to-earth feeling and it's a bit overwhelming.

A female blackbird launched into flight from a stalk in the prairie just as I was making my capture. Unusual yellow streaky chest plumage, which is normally white.
