The Thames at Chertsey

This is Chertsey Bridge. It dates from 1783-85 and is a Grade ll* listed "building". The first bridge over the River Thames at this spot was built some time after 1299 as it is known that,  in that year, the King and his family were taken across the river by a ferry-woman called Sibille. It is not known if she had a husband called Basil!
