Spoilt for choice

I could have chosen any one of a number of pictures from this morning for today's blip, but I think this is just about my favourite. Mr G has taken to doing early morning swims in a (relatively) nearby lake, and this morning we went with him to watch. We had a picnic breakfast by the side of the lake (if weetabix can really count as a picnic...) while he did a lap, and the little Gs had fun running about in the early morning sunshine.

Somewhat annoyingly, though, given that they habitually wake at around 6am, we had to wake them up just before 7 this morning for this little adventure - that could have been a lie in! Still, it was lovely to be out in the sunshine.

Then back home to get the barbecue ready and salads prepared for our afternoon gathering, which was splendid - lots of lovely friends, a little bit too much food, and fun times in the sunshine. And a certain tennis match on the telly for those that chose to watch.
