Hunting Mode

A tree swallow begins another sortie, hunting for mosquitoes (hopefully).

The bird, distorted in the image by its movement, blends into the soft background, whilst the nest box, being the only thing in focus and bright, immediately catches the eye.

The bird and the bugs come later as the brain catches up and asks "what else?". Then the story emerges.

I like how this image worked out.
