A Bit Of Fresh Eyre

Sagrada Familia

This will likely be very familiar if you have ever been to Barcelona; the cathedral under construction for 131 years.

Definitely beyond its original aims, this is now a tourist attraction, and the signs asking for quiet due to it being a place of worship were amusing both because 98% of the people were tourists (us included) and the building works removed any chance of quiet anyway. I'd definitely like to visit it again once complete, but mostly because the 8 towers currently constructed at both absolutely huge, and also the smallest in the design of 18 towers. It will be very impressive, but at the moment its a bit overhyped frankly.

As for the afternoon, well a hot but highly worthwhile view over the entirety of the city, but from Montjuïc.

For a final day in a foreign country, a lot was done and a lot of shots were consumed to celebrate.

Cathedrals give one hell of a reason to use fisheyes, if I'm honest. This is a brilliant photo, if I may say so myself. And a pretty long blip, too.
