Carnival!

Today was the Cowley Road Carnival, a fantastic day of parades, sunshine, very loud music, and lots of happy people.

It was also bliss to walk down the road with no cars, albeit only for a day. I look forward to the time when the carnival is a parade of motor vehicles - for one day only - and the rest of the time the space is given back to people to walk down.

Wouldn't that be worth celebrating?
