Heather & Lucy!

What a beautiful day here today! A bit of a slow start then about 3 hours in the studio getting pots ready and into the kiln! After lunch we drove over to Margaree Harbor Beach, one of our favorites. We were not disappointed. Even the somewhat long drive (about an hour) is spectacular.

I was happily reading my book when suddenly this voice calls my name....i look up, can't recognise this person, mind you the sunglasses and big hat didn't help! Turns out it was Heather, whom i haven't seen for almost a year, and the last time i saw her she was almost 8 months pregnant. She and her husband - and kids, come up from Florida each summer to Cape Breton, and live not too far from us. Long story short....she ended up giving birth to this beautiful wee thing...Lucy, 5 weeks early and had one hellova time after! It was such a total surprise and absolute delight to meet her and her brood of 4 children on the beach! We don't get to this beach many time during the year, and apparently neither do they, so it was such a wonderful coincidence. Anyway, it was lovely to spend some time catching up with her and finally meeting the wonderful Lucy, who was an absolutely adorable little monkey!
