I was listening to an MIT prof. who develops AI robots to soothe and connect with people. She has wanted to build robots since watching StarWars as a 7 year old. Her inspiration to get into this line of work were of course C3PO and R2 D2 and their human like relationship. I don't think I am comfortable with the outsourcing of human empathy to robots but I freaking love Star Wars.
