Portmagee

The mist came in today so it wasn't much of a beach day. Mum and I took a spin over the Valentia Island for a cup of coffee.

I took this shot of Portmagee from across the bridge to Valentia. Portmagee is a gorgeous little seaside fishing village.

When I see fishermen working on their boats, it always makes me think of the fishermen of Gaza, most of whom are unable to work because of the restrictions placed on them. Those who are brave enough to take to the water are often attacked in the course of their work.

Although Irish fishermen have their own hardships, at least they are not subject to harassment and attack when they set sail.
