Gently down the stream

Day off today - phew - so went to my fave local pub, the Bush at Ovington, for lunch in the garden and a walk along the river (Itchen). The water crowsfoot was flowering on the surface of the water and there were shoals of tiddly trout in the shallows. It was unbelievably beautiful, especially with the path running between 2 branches of the river, so you're kind of islanded and surrounded by reeds and bullrushes.

Like me, they were just soaking up the sun. (However, well fed though I was, I was not turning green).

Hope you all had a good Monday x
