A Spartan's Mum

Blooming lovely!

Well today was a belter, and I'm happy to hear there's more of the same for the next few days! I'm preparing to paint the outside of the back of the house this week but it gets the full sun from1.30 onwards to it's a job restricted to mornings. Just as well since the afternoons are being spent on a sun lounger for as long as this lasts.

The surfinia has exploded into flower at the front door this week. I picked this up at Erskine, these baskets were specially planted in the purple pots to support the Erskine Hospital charity and we were happy to support them. They cared so well for Jim's uncle in his last months and he was happy there. It's a pity such places are so heavily reliant on charity donations, their funding should come from the state, after all the people it cares for were willing to give the ultimate sacrifice for their country in their health.

Rant over, back to summer...
