Travelling disasters

Left the East Neuk of Fife to spend a few days holiday plan with a friend in Northumberland. All started well but I arrived in the mayhem that is Haymarket Station in Edinburgh. Construction work and lack of staff or signs in appropriate places meant I missed my connection & was left in a sea of commuters waiting for delayed and cancelled trains & those running on time! Add to that the extreme heat which we Scots are not used to and you begin to get the pictured. I arrived nearly 3 hours late to be picked up by my very patient friend who had been travelling all day from Gigha. Cup of tea & now to bed!
