Rule of Thirds?

I was in a bit of a rush today so hence the reason for the trusty pet photo. I still managed to takr the time to set up my tripod. There just wasn't enough light for a handheld shot. How do you get a cat to keep still for a photo anyway?
1/60th sec, f6.3, 200iso, 85mm prime lens (my favourite), Canon 350D.
I will make more of an effort tomorrow. Promise.
*Just a quick add on note because I haven't replied to my comments: My cat is in a very large cat enclosure which is why there is netting behind him.... Hope that answers a few questions.
