The Vasa

Model of the Vasa - with the real ship behind. Built as a symbol of the might and power of the Swedish nation in the 17th century, flawed design meant it sank just 20 minutes in to its maiden voyage out of Stockholm. 333 years later in the 1950s it was raised and restored. Brackish water and the absence of a wood eating sea creature meant that it is 98% original.
