Back Blip re trip out west.

This back blip is taken from the moving car near Tweed Heads on our way to Roma in western Quensland. It was rather a rush trip as A's very dear 86yr old uncle had passed away. He was a real character who loved life and one of his passions was fishing. Just before he passed away he had been on a fishing trip with two of his sons and caught a 16lb Murray Cod. He couldn't have ordered a better way to go.
We were late getting away as a result of some car trouble and then drove four and a half hours to Toowoomba on the first day arriving at T'wmba about 7.30pm. The following morning we left T'wmba early and got into Roma about 2.30pm. When we arrived we had to first visit A's cousins and discuss the Eulogy that he and his brother were reading at the funeral the next morning and then we headed out to my cousin L's rural property where we were going to be staying. After a couple of hectic days it was very nice to arrive at their lovely oasis. They have a beautiful country garden which covers about an acre around the homestead. They are lucky enough to have their own bore which taps into the Artesian Basin. This means they have plenty of water for all their needs, both for the house and garden and for the property which runs cattle.
The town and surrounding area is very, very dry again and in drought, which seems almost impossible after the massive floods of the last couple of years so they are very fortunate to have the water.
I haven't tried to blip while away as they have rather intermittent internet where they are, and things were very hectic anyway so it would have been almost impossible. We caught up with a lot of friends and family that we haven't seen for many years so that was nice - with everyone spread out across the continent these days it is often only on these sad occassions that we get to catch up.
We arrived home tonight (9th July) after another two days on the road. I'm a bit tired now but over the next couple of days I'll have a look at the photos to see if any worth blipping.
