Nora

Nora is a Nuraghic settlement an hour or so west of Cagliari, which was later inhabited by the Phoenicians and Romans (if that's the right order).

The tower on the hill is part of it, as is a sizeable plot of land to the left of it in this photo.

We took the bus from Cagliari to Pula and walked for twenty minutes in more incredible heat (not complaining - it's bliss!) to the beach where we were happy to bask and freshen up in the sea for a bit before taking the tour around the site. The lady told us it would take forty five minutes, but she was obviously feeling the heat too as it took less than half an hour at her pace. Walked back up to catch the last bus back to Cagliari for showers, aperitivi and dinner (which is now the standard evening procedure).
