Tale of Two Lilies

Last year we planted two water lilies.  This one in the picture was planted in our garden pond and appears to have thrived.  The second one, a very small one, we planted in a large tub of water and it didn’t survive the winter.  

This morning I went to Innerleithen to have my hair ‘done’.  The weather improved this afternoon and I spent most of it weeding in the garden
