Memmingen Pedestrian Precinct

Dear Diary,
First to GP to get referal letter to Urologist then off to Memmingen without an appointment and in the hope he would see me. He did. He was very satisfied with the work of last nights stitching work and with my full support, said I should stop taking all the pills I had been told to take! Reasoning quite simple, all the drugs are an additional burden to the kidneys which are having a hard time as it is. None of the tablets are vital or at least no longer vital. Have to go back tomorrow for a further check.

Took the opportunity to have a quick look at the town centre but had forgotten there is (yet another) large revamping of the pedestrian/town center precinct. Town has done an awful lot to restore the town centre to an attractive area. The building in center/right is the "Landestheater Schwaben" on the site of a 13thC nunnery. Luckily for them no theater at this time of the year, but it may well be they are on tour in the area as the financing comes from local parishes and towns in the area and requires the theater to get out & about in the region.

The photo was taken at 14:00 (just noticed camera is still on winter time) and not a single building worker to be seen. Yesterday the German public was asked by the Minister for Transport (happens to be a Bavarian politician) to call a hotline if there was no sign of work at roadworks on the autobahns, so called "Sleeping Roadworks".

Nothing fell off today but still very tired & feeling like a cold wet flannel.
