Ben's Well

This is Ben Mooney from Wicklow, Ireland, who should be saving 100 acres of hay, but had chosen to come to remotest Doroba to dig a well. The men here have promised to dig this well for over a year, but Ben's appearance, either scared or inspired them into action.
This picture is here because it's the most scary with his weapons of choice, but the rest of the pictures show Ben in full action with the four others, getting to a depth of 2.5 metres of hard digging until they met rock. With Harisen he is working on a bit to hand-drill the rock.
It's his first time and endured 8 hours on a bus on Friday to get here from Lilongwe. He is an amazing and inspiring man and everyone here loves him. Maybe he'll stay, but all that hay beckons!
