A grand day out

Had a great day out today. Weather was fab so we decided to go over to Market Bosworth Country Fair.
It is a traditional agricultural and equestrian fair with craft tent, floral marquee with competitions for best jams, fruit and veg, sponge cakes etc. Central arena for displays, tug-of-war and the horsey side of it in a seperate arena.
On the way home we got diverted so we dropped onto Sutton Cheney wharf, had a cream tea and took a walk up to Bosworth Field where the battle took place in 1485....came home knackered and sunburnt.
The montage is from today..the guy on the top left with a dead bird in his hand is trying to entice the Eagle owl down from the tree top right. The where doing a flying display and the bird decided to fly up to the tree and watch the proceedings from a nice branch..he was still there 4 hours later when we left. The other two are from the equestrian event and an exhibit from the floral tent.
back blipped yesterday
