Our birthday girl

Our eldest’s birthday today! She came round after school with the boys to begin the birthday weekend. I followed the General Election results overnight on the radio and watched the morning’s transfer of power from Tory to Labour on tv. I also wrote to our defeated MP and received a gracious reply. Recognising the human endeavour despite the politics is important. It is also good to see democracy continuing to work seamlessly here
