Morton Fen, Lincolnshire

We took a spin down Morton Fen this afternoon following a very nice lunch at the Five Bells in Morton. The fen is full of potatoes, barley, wheat and the occasional field of oilseed rape which has now gone green before it turns a dirty brown and is harvested.

This shot is a sample of the flowers covering the sides of the dyke running along the fen road which is virtually straight and stretches for about 2 miles.

Try the large version.
