A cherry on top

I was in for a treat when I came back from work today. Jen had gone for a walk at lunchtime and popped into a local organic greengrocers. They had some seasonal English cherries available and she thought she couldn't resist picking some up. I'm so glad she did, they are so tasty! I'm fairly new to cherries but Jen says they are the best she's ever had and she never thought the ones she sampled in Italy a few years could be beaten.

It was the perfect pudding after a delicious dinner of roasted squash and beef mince marinara.

A happy food day, as they always are with us!
