Last Day in the Pool

Daytime activities this week have been purely fun in the pool and kids club for Orla. Other than going to the beach three times we haven't been out of the hotel. I thought we might have gone to see Rhodes Town but as Orla's not old enough to appreciate it it would have been unfair of me to drag her round in the heat whilst I take photos.

Today was our last day, flying back to Glasgow overnight. I had paid for a late checkout so we could still enjoy the pool and get a shower before leaving. Orla wasn't in a great mood though and didn't want to play in the pool most of the day because Ellie wasn't there. I played with her on the pirate ship playground in the afternoon and after a long rest in the shade she eventually agreed to go for one more swim, which she enjoyed as you can see. When she started to make another friend she was happy again because it made her realise there we more kids that would be her friend than just Ellie.

We had our last buffet dinner before getting a taxi to the airport. With all the queues I was so glad of the trunki and the iPhone to keep Orla rested and occupied. Once we were in the air Orla watched some of the Lego Harry Potter walkthroughs that she so loves before gradually falling asleep. I doubt she'll remember much about getting from Glasgow to back home and wake up in her own bed feeling very strange!

Here are all the rest of the photos from our week in Rhodes.

And here are some videos.
