Reflections and new experiences.

Another glorious day for flying, so David (pictured) and I set off from my home airfield to fly to Enstone in Oxfordshire. We had a choice of routes. and picked the most straightforward which meant obtaining clearance to cross the RAF Brize Norton controlled airspace. We duly received this and had it amended just before entering the zone to a slightly lower altitude, and then successfully managed my first ever crossing of controlled airspace.

The picture shows David enjoying a refreshing mug of tea at Enstone - what it doesn't show is the assortment of cakes he has just been drooling over! If you look carefully you can just see me reflected in his sunglasses, as well as the airspace chart and other paraphernalia.

A day for fun, but also for learning and achieving new things, and also for enjoying some wonderful views of the countryside.
