It's always different when professionals are involved...

On the 2nd of July we (our little group of 3) reported that the problem was in program X, at this position Y in the program because the variable Z had been wrongly set.

Unsurprisingly we recommended that company responsible for program X fix the problem.

But things were taken out of our hands - there were senior management meetings and everything.

The problem was given to IBM to analyse (using information that we had to send them).

After long analysis by experts from IBM they concluded that the problem was in program X, at this position Y in the program because the variable Z had been wrongly set.

You know, the thing we said on the 2nd of July.  Which was 9 days ago.

It is slowly and surely obliterating the will to help.  And you really have to go out of your way to stop me helping.
