Chocolate Heaven

We often volunteer to pick people up at the airport as the taxi fare from the airport is way out of proportion to just about every other cost down here (it costs about $35USD to travel the 15 km from the airport to our condo complex, but when one travels the reverse route the fare is slightly over $10USD).

Many times, those we pick up ask what they can bring us. Supplies have gotten much better, even in an isolated spot such as Zihuatanejo, but the one thing that Mexico cannot seem to procure is decent (by my sweet-tooth standards anyway) chocolate (maybe it is because chocolate bars instantly melt when taken outside an air-conditioned store, so why bother). I picked our neighbor Gerry up this afternoon and he had asked what chocolate we liked. Coming from Canada, I knew he could get Cadbury bars, but I told him we had no preference. He decided we needed one of each so we could taste test and pick a favorite for future trips. Sugar high here we come!
