Fountain Statues.
These four impressive stone statues, once formed the pinnacles of the Victorian fountain that marked the end of Hobson's Conduit on Market Hill, Cambridge. The fountain was removed in 1855 to a site on the corner of Trumpington and Lensfield Roads, where it remains today. The fountain was declared unsafe in 1953 and the statues removed and donated to the Folk Museum, where they stand in the yard.
