Preparation for trepidation

It's been a very long week ... but the good news is that tomorrow I get to spend the day with a dear friend and his family and we have a jolly good day out planned. There will be fine blips and much fun had by all. In preparation I have already retrieved this most important artifact.
I am sure that most of you will know what it is (unless I am much mistaken).
