SERGEI POLUNIN : COPPELIA

I certainly didn't expect or intend to get this picture.
But when the flashes started going off during the curtain call of Coppelia at the London Coliseum, and Sergei was standing there with fellow dancers from the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet -- it was irresistible not to join them.
It was the longest Sergei had both feet on the ground during the whole evening.
His impossible leaps and grands jetes (as I now know them to be called) were breathtaking. The performance was a complete joy.

Sergei Polunin is seen here with Kristina Shapran, who played Swanhilda to his Franz.
