From My Everyday Life

Hostas

I got outdoors this morning to photograph and found my Hostas dripping with water (from the sprinklers, not rain). I don't have a proper macro lens for my Fujifilm X-E1 or a cable to use the flash unit off the camera. Off camera flash, to brighten the foreground and separate the Hostas from the background would have helped the image.

On the other hand, it was fun simply playing around with a new camera, not bothering with all the technical equipment of macro photography. No flash, cables, plant clamp, tripod, etc. Camera, hands, and eyes, playing, not a photo shoot. Maybe tomorrow I'll haul out that equipment and use my DSLR.
