Sunbeams

Neighbours' roses

The grass and the crops are burning up, all the goodness is drying out of them in this hot sun. There is hardly enough grass for the livestock and soon we may be forced to feed them the little winter rations we have made in the silage pit. A good thunder rainstorm would do a lot of good to the gardens and the farmland!

When there is enough shade in the lanes Tess and I go for her daily walk, not far in this heat. On the way we pass these beautiful roses, called, I think, the Rambling Rector/ Vicar! ( Our vicar does ramble as he now has eight rural churches to look after.)
