The olden days

Well, I could tell you all about my day. But I spent hours and hours of it at work. And there's nothing more dull than the minutia of someone's job (actully that's not true, other folk's drams are the dullest things ever!).

So instead I will tell you what Harvey Goldsmith mentioned on Desert island Discs. When he was organising Live Aid, it was before the internet, mobile phones and even faxes. So it all had to be done by landline and telex. I suddenly realised just how much things have changed, and Live Aid doesn't really seem that long ago, does it?

I hear that the chart is full of Michael Jackson songs this week. Who is buying them. The fans surely own all these choons.
