Arno Pisa

Last time I was in Pisa was 23 years ago, so it was very nice to go back. Elder not eldest sister lived there for 4 years before moving to Russia and I visited a few times and have some excellent memories of the place.

The train via Livorno was fun if a bit stuffy but we arrived earlyish in Pisa and wandered up to see the sites. Searing heat, we missed the Gioco del Ponte by 9 days although we did manage to see the Gioco del seller of leaning tower tat.

I do not recall a single day where I drank more water in my life.

Back to the beach in the evening for some pre-sunset swimming. Unbelievable how few people were actually there. I walked straight in and it was one of the best feelings ever.
