Late nights in London, part 1.

South Mimms Honda meet attracts quite a few Hondas from all over Europe . And last year, some we had met on our trip to Belgium wanted to see the sights of London while they were here. They came with some other guys from the Netherlands, and we acted as tour guides. We met them at the Ace Cafe, drove them around all the famous landmarks and went on a tunnel run.

This year, we were going to do the same with some of the guys from the Netherlands. However, this picture was taken at Junction 6 of the M40. Coolant everywhere, lots of steam and overheating.

After our own diagnosis of a split expansion bottle, as well as an RAC man agreeing, we made some phonecalls. Within a couple of hours our friend Ben turned up in an MX5 containing LOTS of water, a Radiator for a 2.8 BMW engine, and tools. Me and Charlie went off in the Corrado to meet the guys who had now been waiting for some time! And left them to it.

Turns out, it was just a hose that had come off in the end. It meant that our "8:30pm meet up at the Ace Cafe" turned into a midnight meet up, at a nearby petrol station. However, we still managed to have a good late night drive.
