A trip to the Dordogne

Tourist time today and a trip up to enjoy the beauty of the Dordogne, an area we love. The road hugs the river, and we took in the lovely Cingle de Tremolat, and then moved on to the beautiful little village of Limeuil, clinging to the hillside. It is situated at the confluence of the mighty Dordogne with the Vezere river, and we lunched on croque monsieur at a little restaurant on the water's edge. After a walk round the village, we cooled off with a paddle in the river, ideal for reducing the core temperature quickly.
I thought this was quite a nice blip, with the kids and my daughter's boyfriends, all sprawled on the grass in the sun.
