Sending a Birthday Message

Twelve years ago one of the very first people to follow me on Blip was someone whose nom de plume was (and still is) Cailleach.  It’s a Gaelic word which translates as ‘old woman’.  It should also be said that there are other less polite interpretations of cailleach but none of them apply to her!

Today is a special birthday for Cailleach and (whisper it) she is closing in on being a ‘cailleach’ but still has quite a few years to go before she could be described as an old woman!

She is young at heart, lots of fun and loves writing.  If you put her very best and funniest blips together you would have a best seller.  She also posts really good photos too and enjoys sharing banter with her fellow blippers, especially The Broon and Iain at Creel.  If you follow Cailleach’s journal you know that there’s a lot of fun to be had reading the comments made by her followers and her replies to them.

This is the thirteenth birthday of Cailleach’s I have shared with her and she is the person who has followed me on Blip for the longest time and for that she deserves a gold medal, it’s no mean feat to have done so.

She is my blip bestie and has given me so much encouragement over the years to keep me going.  No better way to thank her for her friendship by posting a sunset for her on this special day … she really likes them!

Fortunately there was lovely end to the day here or it would have been a seascape … she likes them too!

Happy birthday boireannach òg, thanks for all the fun we’ve shared!
