'Melbourne from 88 floors up'

Visited the skydeck at Eureka Tower at lunchtime today as it was quite a clear day and school holidays have finished.

Also there was no wind today so the open balcony was the place to be to get the best shots looking in an arc towards the Northeast to the Southeast. This is also the highest public viewing point in the Southern Hemisphere.

The lift up to the top only takes about 30 odd seconds and travells at 9 metres a second.

There were also windows cleaners working up at this level in an open cage, not a job that I'd like to do I'm afraid.

This view is looking down towards the Yarra River at the bottom, with Flinders Street Station and Federation Square just above with the highrise buildings on the Eastern side of the city in the background.
