Bad tempered Conservative weed.

Now here's a weird weed. Not much swanning around town today, another C.B. job, with relatives attacking the fortress p.m.
For the none-gardeners/botanists, you have to admit, to the average Brit ear it sounds a wee bit like a bad tempered Conservative. "Fumitory".

It is very pretty, as genuine weeds go, it's an annual and, curiously, I can't remember ever seeing it other than on cultivated ground.

Since our garden was wall-to-wall grass, back and front, since it was built about 1961/2 until 1987, there's a school field over the fence, of similar age and I've never seen it in either of the next-door gardens it seriously causeth one to wonder about the age-viability of its seeds.
