Bee Balm
The greatest thing about summer is that in our backyard garden there are one thousand Blips every morning if I need one. (best in large view)
Bee balm starts blooming after wild columbine finishes blooming. It's an easy-growing, tall, summer-blooming perennial that makes a bold statement in your landscape. The main reason my wife planted it is because its good for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. It has come back four years in a row and its spreading nicely.
