Cow Eyes Plus Flies

I took a good friend, down from the north-east, evening togging at Amwell Nature Reserve. We both love dragonflies and I hoped that some would still be on the wing. There were plenty of damsels about but no dragons. :(

These cattle came to investigate. Poor things were being plagued by flies on the hottest day of the year.
