War and Peace

A long day from departure from Restirou until arrival in Southampton just before midnight. In between we took the opportunity to head a little way along the Normandy coast where we discovered the World Peace Statue - a huge monument - as we travelled towards Omaha Beach, the scene of the D-Day landings. We will return to this area. Don't know when, but it's on our list.
