Helensburgh Central Railway Station

As the sky was a bit overcast today and the visibility was not good my proposed blip across the Clyde has had to be postponed. Instead here is Helensburgh Central Railway Station.

This station was opened (as Helensburgh Station) by the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway on 28 May 1858, and renamed Helensburgh Central Station by British Rail on 28 May 1955.

There is a second station in Helensburgh which is part of the West Highland Line (Helensburgh Upper).

What changes to trains, onward journey methods and passengers have taken place in the last 155 years. If only these girders could talk.
