Earache MyEyeInA Nutshell

And when you dream

I heard Simple Minds' Glittering Prize on the radio today. Thirty one years after its first release, it still sounds absolutely fantastic. The LP it comes from, New Gold Dream, is an incredibly summery record, perfect for this heatwave we're currently enjoying. I have a long history with the LP, first heard by me on a tinny Walkman in the mid-80s and I still think it's the best album to come out of Scotland by the best band to come out of Scotland. I reckon, in terms of Scottish bands and LPs, only Big Country's The Crossing can come anywhere near it.
I listened to it on my iPod when I came home tonight. I still love it.
