Welder

This one's for you dad wherever you are. My father spent all his working life as a welder in a steel works after he was demobbed from the army at the end of the Second World War. I was reminded of dad when I saw this welder in Vigo, north-west Spain, working on a power boat that's part of an export contract for the tuna fishing industry on the Pacific coast of Peru. Quite a busy day, touring boat yards - mostly empty I'm afraid to say. It's a tough time in the boat-building business just now.
