Keeping Cool

The days are just getting hotter and hotter - I'm not complaining but the dog is suffering! She is getting a haircut later this week but in the meantime water play and paddling pool seem to do the trick.

Am ruefully contemplating the next few months of my husband working away during the week. We had settled into quite a contented routine with dog walk in the morning, lunch together etc....

When he is here he also cooks wonderful evening meals - and even though he doesn't do much taxiing of children (still seems to be my main area of responsibility) - he is an adult presence if I want to go out.

So day 2 and I am already missing that help (oh and probably him).
