Lost In Translation
You have to wonder where they go that translation from. "Sitzen" is not so far removed from "sitting".
But "pat" is just odd.
And here my best friend Chambers offers some support.
Pat can mean:
1. A shortened form of the name Patrick.
2. A gentle stroke with a flat surface (you pat a dog)
3. A small mass - like a pat of butter
4. And in "off pat" it means you have memorised something exactly.
What they're trying to say here eludes me.
Nevertheless - happy birthday to my friends K & C. It's Friday - they should be celebrating.
