For Alina

Early morning walk wit the dogs in Ottobeuren as I had to pick up some wound medication from the chemists for the nursing service to use later. Also able to walk on flat, tarmaced or hard paths so as to keep movement to a minimum. Met lots of other dogs including a 3 month old border puppy belonging to a wonderful couple who Angie has often met on walks in Ottobeuren. Their older border had to be put to sleep in May.

Back home nursing service came armed with sterile instruments to remove the sutures the GP couldn't find yesterday. In the meantime another suture had ripped out and the wound has opened up a bit more but Birgit reckons she can patch me up! Otherwise normal mucking out, feeding duties with horses, chickens & dogs. Moved the "off-spring" bee hive in to a full size hive. They seemed a bit disorientated but MrB reassured me in the evening that the new box, with new smells has to be "inspected" before they get back to normal work.

Angie went for a late evening ride with Sultan & the dogs. I think Sultan went much better after his training session from Alina on Sunday! Apparently the flies were not too bad but she mainly rode in the forest where it is cooler and with less flies.

Alina & Co seem to be having a great time in Croatia even sending a photo of MrB's honey jar. Hope MrB doesn't get prosecuted by the European Union Court for Human Rights. When we were last in Istrian (the part of Croatia they are in) it seemed 50% of the population lived from selling local honey on the roadside. Perhaps I shouldn't have put a sticker on the jar with MrB's full name, address, phone numbers, employers name etc.
