Fennel

These plants are over seven feet tall, almost snagging the moon. They are the only food for the Anise Swallowtail Caterpillar. A couple years ago we were able to follow its whole life cycle, and watched a butterfly emerge from its cocoon and fly away. I've been searching these plants all year for a sign of creatures, but, alas, I haven't found any so far.
